Twenty years have passed since the founding of the Local Development Working Group (GTDL) of the Spanish Association of Geography (AGE), we have proposed an international meeting, which is open to both the academic and professional world. From a modern and current meaning, the enforcement of Local Development includes antecedents and experiences such as Community Development, Economic Promotion Agencies (either consortiums or at municipal level), Local Employment Initiatives and Territorial Pacts, Joint management of environmental and cultural resources, Local Action Groups (LAGs), Consortia and Associations, among others.
